I'm a little disappointed in this airpot. It doesn't seem to keep the coffee hoy for very long, a couple of hours at best. That's too bad, because it is just the right size for my needs.

No, the capacity does not include the stem being placed in the airpot. If filling the airpot to maximum capacity, slight overflowing may occur when inserting the stem.
