I have this coupled with a matching 6" pepper grinder. No need to grind the salt. Has a nice threaded plastic cap on the bottom for filling.

This Salt Shaker is not only beautiful it works really well. It functions really smoothly and is light weight. The color is perfect and looks as though it will never fade.

Very nice and they look good too. I especially like that you can shake out the salt OR use the pour spout for cooking. Great idea!!

Additional Help
Additionally, if your mill begins to show signs of wear, its finish can be restored with a food safe wood conditioner. First, clean and dry the mill. Then, apply the wood conditioner with a soft cloth or paper towel. Once the conditioner has soaked into the mill, buff off any excess with a clean cloth. Having excess conditioner on a wood mill will make it feel sticky or oily.
